IEA Score Grant

Being an educator in Illinois can offer some amazing perks. One of those perks is being a union member you are part of two bigger unions, the IEA and the NEA. Well, every year the IEA puts out a grant opportunity for new teachers, less than 10 years of service, to use towards projects. We are talking FREE money!!

There is a little bit of work but nothing that is unreasonable for someone giving you FREE money. You did read FREE right?

I was a 2016-2017 grant recipient and it was an amazing experience. I am applying this year for a new opportunity for my school. Service projects can be anything from a new courtyard, games for students to play, technology, etc.

If you have a project to make your school or community a better place, I highly suggest you try! It's an easy process and the IEA staff are amazing at helping you through the process.
